Armenian farmers, producers, and processors can participate in the EU-supported “Green and Organic Projects” competition

EU Green Agriculture Initiative in Armenia, Project Green and Organic Agribusiness Support Tender

The EU Green Agriculture Initiative in Armenia is funded by the European Union and co-sponsored by the Austrian Development Cooperation. The project is implemented by the Austrian Development Agency in cooperation with the UN Development Program in Armenia. The partner by the government is the RA Ministry of Economy. The project supports the development of sustainable, inclusive, innovative market-based agribusiness, particularly in the northern regions of Armenia: Shirak, Lori and Tavush. The project will be implemented over the next three years.

What and Where?
The program announces an open tender for the support of green and organic agribusiness and bidding, consisting of 2 lots.

– – LOT 1: Support of “Green” agricultural projects only for the following regions: Shirak, Lori and Tavush
The value chains selected with this component are:
– – Fruits, berries, vegetables, ՝ both fresh and processed
Amount of support up to 10,000 euros

– LOT 2: Organic (certified or transitional) agribusiness support in all regions and value chains of Armenia. However, the following value chains will be preferred:
– Fresh and processed berries, fruits and herbs
– Experimental crops
– Honey and honey products
Amount of support – up to 15,000 euros

The deadline for applications is July 31, 2020

What does the program provide?
Agricultural machinery and equipment, post-harvest and processing equipment and infrastructure inputs.
Only fixed assets will be provided, not cash.
